About Certification Program: IYA (Indian Yoga Association) with a vision to bring standards in teaching, quality and uniformity in knowledge and skills of Yoga professionals globally has provided the following certification programs in Yoga Education as Foundation Course in Yoga, Certificate Course in Yoga, Advanced Certificate Course in Yoga and these regulation on behalf of Nayago School of Yoga were framed and approved by Yoga School on July 01, 2024 which comes into force with immediate effect after taking the accent of Standing Academics and Accreditation Committee here in after mentioned as  IYA PrCB approving body.

As an accredited center or Institution of Indian Yoga Association the Nayago School of Yoga (NSY) has introduced the same courses in its institute centers globally to take part in fulfilling the vision and mission of Indian Yoga Association. NSY and its all-associate partners and promoters take part under the flagship of IYA globally.

 Certification of Yoga professionals: IYA has started certification of Yoga professionals under its own continuous monitoring and accreditation body as IYA PrCB for three levels under the promotion and Yoga Education and Training category and to maintain the professional standards to give quality in Yoga education and Qualified Yoga professionals.   1. Applicant has to send an application with the required details to allot seat in prescribed format by NSY along with required documents:

  1. Post Scrutiny of application NSY officials will contact the applicant to verify and validate the details and allot a seat to complete the admission if I application deemed fit.
  2. Seat allotment confirmation along with fee payment (Course Fee + Exam Fee + IYA Membership Fee) details shall be share to applicant. If applicant opt for Residential Facility separate fee shall be paid as per type of accommodation.
  3. The selection of course based on the choice for students shall be on ‘first come first serve’ through registration.
  4. Student do not allow to change the course once admission process close (After fee payment).
  5. The registration for any course shall be on first come first served basis, provided the student fulfils prerequisites for that course if any.
  6. Student with overall 80% of total attendance shall be allowed to give Examination by paying Examination and Membership Fee.
  7. Student has to clear all the fee dues on time. If student fails to pay dues in Course fee NSY shall hold the award of pass certificate of such candidates.
  8. NSY do not follow any reservation criteria in allotting seats. NSY provide the admission without any discrimination.
  9. Student has to abide all the rules and regulation set forth by IYA PrCB, NSY and University (If applicable).
  10. Admission or certificate shall be cancelled if found that candidate provide fake information/ Mis behaviour/ Malpractice/ violation of course rules and regulations at any time and initiate necessary legal action.

Strength Per Batch: The strength of a class/ batch for each course shall be 30 Members per section and maximum of 60 members with 2 sections. The staff and student ratio shall be 1:30 as specified by IYA PrCB and in-case of Diploma/ any related Degree by Government approved University for yoga education has to follow the same Rules & Regulations laid by the University. NSY shall take a prior approval from IYA PrCB for any additional seats required.

 

Cancellation of batch: NSY reserves full right to cancel or re-schedule the batch if total admissions of the respective batch shall be less than 10 (Ten), student shall be allowed to full re-fund or to seek admission into upcoming next batch or re-scheduled batch.

 

Fee Concession: Student (or applicant) can avail a concession max upto 30% on Course fee based on merit and any test conducted for concession, No Concession shall be allowed on Examination Fee and Membership Fee.

Refund Policy: No course fee, Examination fee and Membership fee shall be refunded once paid. Same policy is applicable for dropout students from course or which comes under any stage of admission after fee payment. 

Medium of Instruction:  The medium of instruction shall be default as English for all the courses including their content delivery, examinations, seminars, presentations and project evaluation as prescribed in the programme curriculum. NSY can provide lecture sessions and Examination in Hindi on Student request. We also conduct special courses specially for regional language for both Indian and International Students. Student has to refer the course medium of instruction in description at time of applying for admission.

 Syllabus for courses: The syllabus of the course shall be attached along with this Rules & Regulation in Annexures as per the Standing Academics and Accreditation Committee.

Syllabus for Integrated University Course with IYA PrCB Certification: If student opt for Diploma in Yoga, PG Diploma in Yoga and M.Sc. in Yoga then they have to prepare as per the syllabus provided by the affiliated University to give their exam. In addition to that University syllabus the student has to thoroughly prepare with IYA PrCB specified syllabus to pass in the assessment as mentioned in Scheme of Assessment and Evaluation. In this admission the candidates have to give two different exams as per University and IYA PrCB rules and regulation to secure pass certificates.

 Attendance: Students has to maintain overall 85% attendance for all components and allowed for 5% grace attendance with valid medical certificate by paying condonation fee to NSY. Decision of NSY is final in providing 5% Grace attendance to the students no matter in this shall be liable in any court.

Scheme of ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION for IYA PrCB Certification

Internal Examination or Evaluation (IE): IE is a way of judging mechanism of student learning skills by which it is conducted by the NSY, they are the subject teacher for the respective batch. Marks shall be awarded based on the examination, assignment, seminars, presentation, social work, internship etc.,  

External Examination or Evaluation (EE): EE is a way of judging mechanism of student skills by external members nominated by NSY, external examiners shall not be the teachers who trained the students in the respective batches. Marks shall be awarded based on the performance in examination conducted in Pen & Paper base/ online base, Practical/ Demonstration and viva modes.

Assessment Procedure for Certification of yoga Professional as per IYA PrCB:

The assessment criteria for all course shall be in Four stages – Theory, Practical and Viva-Voce along with Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) with 100 Marks and total of 400 Marks.

Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE): Means evaluation of student’s achievement in the learning process. CIE shall be done by the Course Instructor and includes assignments, Internship, Field Training and Teaching Skills throughout the course, with weightage for the different components being fixed at the institute level. These marks shall be awarded by the Teacher who deals the batch. Marks awarded by the lecturer or trainer for the components comes under CIE shall not be challenged under re-evaluation or re-checking. Marks once awarded cannot be modified unless if awarded marks are mistakenly entered due to clerical errors shall be updated if it comes to the notice of authorities of Examination.

Elective Paper: Proper choice of professional elective courses or open elective courses across Semesters as per provision by university and it is not a mandatory. (Applicable for university Course).

Assignment: It is a way of awarding marks by the subject specified teachers under continuous monitoring of learning skills of a student time to time by way of taking exams or written assignments, seminars, presentations or nay other tasks which shall help in awarding the marks to students.

Internship: It is a way of awarding marks to students based in the recommendations given by the employers who have given internship to students or by way of working with any organisation to improve their teaching skills and to learn in the real time problems. If candidate do not secure any internship student can do community service in bringing awareness in society on yoga by working with NGO’s, Educational Institutions, organisations, companies, government organisation or any such related bodies working for the promotion of yoga.

Field Training: Field training is a training which is given to the students in course, this could be conducted in groups with in the same batch by giving demonstration along with teaching. This could be a part of practical training which concentrated more on theoretical and practical knowledge related to behavioural skills of a student.

Teaching Skills or Supervised Teaching: It is a way of awarding marks to a student by internal examiner as an internal practical examination covers only Demonstration and viva knowledge of a student.

Internal Examiner: Shall be evaluated by the concerned teachers teach the students or the senior teacher from NSY who award the marks based on the regularity/ record/ viva/ internal test/ Viva/ examination.

External Examiner: Shall be assessor or examiners assigned by the examination department of NSY. They are not to be the internal examiners who awarded the internal marks or the teachers who teach the students in their regular courses. External Examiners shall be nominated by the examination department of NSY to award marks to students. Such nominated Evaluators shall be of two or three members in panel and one member to be a senior and an external person who works as an assessor in PrCB or teacher from University/ Yoga School/ Yoga Colleges/ QCI Certified Teacher or evaluator, and other member shall be from same organisation (NSY) in the rank of Head of the Department/ Director/ Principal/ Board Member (eligible) of NSY or who is deemed to fit with proper experience and certification. The final external marks shall be Mean value of sum of marks awarded in each component.

Process of examination or assessments:

  • Student attending for any courses for certification has to appear in Theory, Practical/ Demonstration and Viva.
  • The theory exam will conduct in two different methods.
    1. Multiple Choice and Descriptive questions in Pen & Paper Mode
    2. Multiple-choice base in Online mode.
  • Student can opt External Theory Exam Component in Pen & Paper mode or Online mode.
  • Multiple choice questions cover all the topics from the syllabus of IYA PrCB.
  • Descriptive questions shall be short answer which allows the evaluator to understand the theoretical knowledge of student.
  • The students shall mark shall mark the answer in booklet contains Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet and blank papers to write descriptive part or fully online exam with Multiple choice option.
  • There will be no negative marks in the written examination.
  • Theory exam paper of Yoga courses will be bilingual – English (Primary) & Hindi(optional). Candidate can give an option to choose the Theory exam paper shall be in their respective Indian regional language.
  • If error is observed in the question in Hindi or other languages, the question in English languages shall be considered the correct question.
  • If some error is observed in the question paper, it shall be referred to the competent authority and competent authority shall take a view on it and decide on grace marks. The decision of IYA PrCB or the NSY decision is final. No matter in grace marks decision shall not be liable in any court.
  • The candidate shall return booklet contains both question paper and OMR sheet to the invigilator/centre in-charge after completing the paper or after the examination time.
  • Candidate absence in either of the theory exam or practical and viva exam will be considered as fail. However, if any candidate who takes theory exam but is absent in practical exam, his/ her request for reconsideration for appearing in practical exam on some other date, may be considered by the assessing agency or NSY Examination Department in exceptional cases on merit basis. Candidates fails to achieve CIE marks as per Assessment and Evaluation scheme, student shall be borne from giving external exam of all components.
  • For practicum, each candidate shall be assessed for not more than half-an-hour (30 Min). Duration of the practical assessment will however be at the discretion of the assessor within the maximum time as mentioned above.
  • Practical shall include Posture Demonstration, Teaching Skills, Pranayama, Mantra, Benefit & Contradiction, Basic Texts of Yoga, Anatomy & Physiology, Human Psychology, Hata Yoga & Raja Yoga, Safety at work Place, Knowledge on Asanas and Comparative Analysis as per the level of certification.
  • The candidate has to secure 70% marks in each of the theory, practical and viva components in both Internal and External to qualify/ pass the assessment to get certification. However maximum 5% of grace marks will be given in any one of the component papers but overall qualifying percentage shall remain 70%. In case marks are in decimal figure, it shall be rounded off to higher number.
  • Internal Examination shall be conducted only one time in course period for IYA PrCB approved courses. Candidates qualified in Internal assessment by NSY affiliated by IYA PrCB course shall be allowed to give their external exam, no exemptions shall be provided to student in any case. In case of absentia the student can give re-exam whenever the next batch exam is conducting by NSY by paying a fee, students with applicable mandatory attendance shall be allowed.
  • If candidate failed to attend the classes as per attendance criteria to give exam has to reappear for the entire course by re-enrolling with the same student with same registration number.
  • If candidate is giving his/her internal exam under university specified program shall follow the regulations as per course selected. Student refer it from university official website and obey the course regulation or Rules and Regulations as per their respective university or organisation.

Result: Candidates who attended and successfully completed their exam by securing minimum marks awarded as per the Assessment and Evaluation table for all components in Internal Evaluation, Continuous Internal Evaluation, and external evaluation component of Theory, Practical and Viva can view their results on our official portal or from the communication mail sent to your registered e-mail within 45 days post completion of assessment. Same results shall be shared with IYA Standing PPP Committee to upload the same on IYA portal.

Examination Centres:

  • Students can opt for exam centres assigned by NSY to give their final exam at time of filling the application of admission along with the date of examination slots available on school portal.
  • If at any exam centre location, total count of enrolled paid applicant falls below 30, then the NSY or examination agency shall reserve the right to cancel that location and conduct the exam at other location or on some other date. The candidate will be intimated about the same and the candidate can either accept the request for change of location / date where no refund of paid fee. Candidate has to approach the assigned centre to complete their exam.
  • The student will be issued admit card to the candidate at least 10 days in advance. The candidate can download the admit card through our portal or collect hard copy from NSY centres or the same shall be send to the registered mail of the students.
  • Student has to take the admit card to the centre or exam hall along with school issued ID card.
  • Student has to take the signature of the invigilator on the hall ticket as the proof of attendance.
  • Student has to safe guard the hall ticket till gets their pass certificates.
  • Results in online shall be made available for 30 days, candidate has to take a print of result viewed through online portal.

Re-examination Policy: The candidate has to secure qualifying marks in theory and practical + Viva independently.

  1. If the candidates secure qualifying marks in practical but fails in theory, he/she can reappear for theory exam whenever the next exam schedule was announced. The candidate shall have to pay the re-exam fee for appearing in the theory exam.
  2. If the candidate secures qualifying marks in theory but fails in practical, he/she can reappear for practical exam whenever the next exam schedule was announced.
  3. If candidate fails in three components of Theory, Practical and Viva In such condition, the full assessment fee shall have to be paid by the candidate. His/her unique enrolment no. shall be valid.

Rules for Re-Evaluation and Re-counting of Papers: Student has to opt either for Re-Evaluation or Re-counting within 7 days from the date of announcement of results. No student can opt for both the examinations. If candidate do not satisfy with the obtained result from Re-Evaluation or Re-counting, then the aggrieved student can approach the NSY for physical verification of the Pen & Paper based exam which includes booklets, OMR sheet and question paper in presence of the examination committee members on the receipt of prescribed examination fee. In no case candidate is not allowed to take physical copies of question papers for the exams conducted in virtual mode and copy of booklets in hard copy format. This could not be applicable for marks awarded under CIE component.

Re-Evaluation: There is no re-evaluation option available to students who gave exam in online or Virtual mode, Demonstration/Practical’s and in Viva. This was applicable to only Pen & Paper base exam only. Student has to pay the mentioned fee of their Theory paper (EE) only. Paper shall be sent for re-valuation to two different paper evaluators for re-evaluation. Highest mark awarded by re-evaluators shall be consider as the result of re-evaluation and it shall be computed by comparing the re-valuation result is more than 5% of maximum marks. Student has to secure more than 5% of Maximum Marks allotted to paper in addition to the previous announced result. Student has to apply for re-evaluation within 7 Days from the date of declaration of result. Example: Max Marks in EE is 70 and candidate has to secure 70% which is 49 Marks to pass. If candidate secure 48 Marks (Fail) in EE and applied for Re-Evaluation the student has to secure more than 5% of marks which is 4 Marks in addition to secured marks i.e., 52 Marks. In this case only the candidate shall be treated as pass.

Re-Counting: Student shall pay an appropriate fee for recounting of the marks awarded in the award sheets of Practical/ Viva and marks awarded in Pen & Paper Base exam only. Online or Virtual Exam Paper shall be provided with Re-counting facility. It is limited to calculation of marks. Re-evaluation of paper is not allowed if candidate opt for Re-counting. Student has to apply for Re-counting of marks with in 7 days from the date of results of announced. This do not applicable for CIE.

Additional Marks in special cases: Marks shall be added equally to all the candidates along with their original secured marks to who appear for the particular exam on the particular day in case of technical error in of Option or Multiple answers for same questions. The additional marks shall be the part of secured marks.

 

Certificate: The Certificate in hard copy shall be issued to the qualified candidates. The Certificates issued will bear a unique certificate no. and security enabled QR code or security code on it. Candidates has to collect the certificate in hard copy from Yoga School only. Original certificates shall not be hand overed to any third person. Students with no dues to NSY or PrCB or University shall opt for courier of original certificates to their respective address by paying the appropriate postal charges to NSY (this option can opt completely under the discretion of student only).

Validity of Certificate: Validity of the certificate will be counted from the date of declaration of result. Validity of the certificate under IYA shall be revised time to time as per the guidelines set forth by its IYA PrCB. Currently IYA did not mention any validity under its flagship program. NSY in accordance with IYA shall not mention the validity of certificate, if necessary, in future IYA or NYS shall vest full rights to recall the certified yoga professionals for Continuous Yoga Education Program (CYEP) in change of any guidelines as per Association Decision or Government Decision or relevant authority. NSY shall act in compliance to IYA Rules and Regulations under Yoga Education. NSY is not liable in any way for any policy decision change by IYA for Validity of Certificates. By registering in the course, the applicant or Yoga student or learner may treat as they agree for all the Rules and Regulations of IYA and NSY or IYA decision is final in all matters.

 

Issuing of Certificate: The successful / passed candidates shall be issued Certificate and ID card with unique number by NSY and the same information shall be shared to IYA for records and future verification and validation of your certification.

 Re-issue of Certificate: The applicant will have to pay the re-issue certification fee, if he/she requests for duplicate certificate as prescribed by the NSY. Fee may vary time to time. The certified professional has to provide the Police Certificate or equivalent certificate to get duplicate certificate but the validity of the certificate shall not be changed and it shall be same as at the time of issue of certificate.

Renewal of certificate: The candidate, certified under different levels, has to appear in the Continuing Yoga Education (CYE) program for renewal of his/her certificate as per the Rules and Regulations of IYA, currently IYA not laid down any such criteria. If such rules were implemented or introduced by IYA the Certified Yoga Professionals shall have to attend the CYEP before expiry of the certificate for its renewal.

Trainer Eligibility:

Trainer has to qualify in the internal assessment laid down by the Nayago School of Yoga during selection of trainers. Based upon the performance of their skills in Yogic Theory, Demonstration/ Practical, Teaching Skills, Field Experience, Situation Handling, Problem Solving etc., which the panel of Lead Trainer or Trainer Selection Committee feels fit for the position. Age of trainers shall be 18-60. They must be physically fit and mentally strong. Education qualifications shall be as mentioned below for Lead Trainer and Assistant Trainer.

Lead Trainer:

  1. PG Diploma (2 year)/Diploma/Certificate in Yoga from any recognised Yoga School or Level 1 Yoga Protocol Instructor and above with 1-year experience/ M.Sc. (Yoga) or above;
  2. PG Diploma (2 year)/Diploma/Certificate in Yoga from any recognised Yoga School or Level 2 Yoga Wellness Instructor and above with 2-year experience Or M.Sc. (Yoga) or above with 1 Years of Experience;
  3. PG Diploma (2 year)/Diploma/Certificate in Yoga from any recognised Yoga School or Level 3 Yoga Teacher & Evaluator and above with 3-year experience Or M.Sc. (Yoga) or above with 2 Years of Experience;

Assistant Trainer:

  1. PG Diploma (2 year)/Diploma/Certificate in Yoga from any recognised Yoga School or Level 1 Yoga Protocol Instructor and above / MSc (Yoga) or above who are good in theoretical Knowledge and passed the NSY Basic Trainer Assessment and Interview.
  2. Interns can be as Assistant teacher but only for assistance they are not supposed to teach anyone without a minimum Diploma or an equivalent valid certification for teaching the basics.

Yoga Anatomy and Physiology, Ayurveda, Hata Yoga:

Trainers are having any degree or certified or trained in the mentioned fields can teach theoretical under the guidance of Lead Trainer to share their expertise knowledge in the said fields in comparison to Yoga.

Note: Trained Certified students from NSY can also be eligible to teach as trainer/ Assistant trainer by matching the eligibility and selection criteria.

Board of Studies (BOS)

  • BOS is an authority as defined in UGC regulations, constituted by Head of the Organization for each of the departments separately. They are responsible for curriculum design and updating in respect of all the programmed offered by any department of NSY.
  • The policy and regulations here under are subject to amendments as may be made by the any Council of the NSY or PrCB or University or approved body from time to time, keeping the recommendations of the Board of Studies (BOS) in view. Discussion on Modification in curriculum as per the stake holder’s feedback and it is recommended to BOS for implementing the same or try to implement them with proper approvals from stake holders with mutual decisions.
  • Director or Dean or Principal or Head of the Department of the particular course shall take suggestions for development of syllabus from concerned BOS/ Academic Stake holders during BOS/Academic Stake holders’ meetings and submit the same to Examination committee of NSY or affiliated PrCB or University for reference for the preparation of syllabus and evaluation to be implemented in the upcoming courses.
  • NSY shall have full right to revise the syllabus at any time in compliance to PrCB/ University or Affiliated Organisations time to time for providing the quality education.

Examination Committee: Examination committee is a panel of members appointed by NSY for the scheduling examinations, preparation of internal and external papers, allotment of centres, selection of paper setters, evaluators, observers, invigilators, exam centres, evaluation centres and other works which comes under the duties of exam section. Committee shall be constituted as per requirement and it shall be less than three and not more than seven. Examination committee shall contain Director/Dean/ Principal of NSY, one member from BOS, one shall be Head of Examination and rest may be taken as per requires.

Grievance or Dispute Redressal Committee:

Panel consists of 5 Members one shall be the Board of Trustees or authorised representative of trustee, one shall be the Director or Principal of the Yoga Schools, one shall be the Senior faculty member who did not involve in any way related dispute, one external member from any company or NGO or any educational institute having experience in dispute resolution and one shall be Advocate. The decision of this committee shall be final and no matter in such decisions shall be liable in court.

Feedback and Grievance Redressal Mechanism:

  1. Students can give their feedback regularly at time of pursing the course to the NSY authorities through feedback forms assigned or virtual feedback form with respect to course and batch.
  2. Faculty/ Trainer/ Teacher can provide the feedback on students and ongoing course time to time in oral or written formats based on severity of matter. If NSY required such feedback in written format Faculty has to provide the same in a deem fit format to address the matter.
  3. Stake Holders can approach our central office by writing in a deem fit format and send such matters through post to our central office address or through mail provided on our portal.
  4. System for scrutiny of feedbacks sets a maxim time period of 60 days to resolve any disputes received from any members and the decision of NSY in such matters shall be final.
  5. Student or faculty members can approach us through a proper written format to resolve their grievances or by using our virtual forms available on our portal. Maximum time to resolve the matter shall be 90 days and decision of NSY is final, in case of matter related to IYA PrCB or affiliated University such matter shall be send to appropriate authority for resolving and same status shall be informed to the grievance raised person and the time lines of resolving such issues related to external authorities kindly refer their official portal. The decision shall be vesting mutually or independently decision is final.
  6. We abide by the rules and regulations of IYA PrCB and our affiliated Universities.

Additional Rules and Regulations related to examination process:

  1. Students absent for internal exam shall pay fee and allowed to give re-Internal Exam if school approve their request in case of valid reason post verification.
  2. The Internal and External Exam papers (Pen and Paper mode) / OMR Sheets/ Booklets shall be preserved for a period of one year from the date of examination in the respective exam section of NSY Central Office as per the norms of the Institute for future audit purpose IYA PrCB and affiliated university authorities.
  3. Online or Virtual exam records and reports shall be preserved for 7 days from the date of announcement of result, if student feels any disputes in the results students shall be allowed to verify their automatic generated award sheet by the system, no answer script copy shall be made available to students to verify in any form due to security reasons on view of paper safety and security.
  4. Award sheets shall be kept in safe custody of the NSY for future audit purpose by IYA PrCB authorities and affiliated university.
  5. Records of certificates shall be safe guard with no particular period or timeline. Students can verify their records on our online portal in future which were kept in public domain.
  6. No data of the students shall be provided under RTI to other students. No information related to Assessors or Examiners or any other staff of NSY under RTI in any form. We do not come under RTI as we are a privately held organisation and not comes under the meaning of Public Authority as per RTI Act.
  7. Student at time of admission shall agree to the rules no matter related to courses or any other comes under the same meaning shall not be made liable in court, as we are following the rules of affiliated PrCB and University Rules and Regulations. NSY shall abide as per Indian Laws and respect the decision of Courts in any matter.
  8. Candidates with equivalent certificate can give the IYA PrCB exam, this type of candidates do not get any specific hours certificate from NSY. They are allowed to take IYA membership as per their certification level.

Duration of Course:

  1. Student has to qualify the course with in 1 year from the date of commencement of classes for admitted course. If not, student shall have to rejoin in the course as a fresh student.
  2. Students who do not have necessary attendance to appear for exams such candidates have to repeat the course by paying the full course fee. No exemption shall be given in duration as per 1.
  3. Students may be giving a grace period of maximum of 6 moths crossing the maximum time of course period by taking approval from examination committee for medical effected cases only.
  4. No court recommendations shall be taken into consideration for the extension of course post completion of course period.
  5. Extension of course fee has to pay by the student for extension and repeating the course.
  6. Examination Committee, BOS can take mutual decision for special cases or grievances for duration of course.
  7. One time opportunity (OTP) given to students who not completed their course within the duration of course period, this could be a special notification where candidates have no right to ask for immediate exam. Examination Committee shall take decision on OTP Exam.

Discount: Student with IYA Membership can avail 10% (Ten Percent) of discount on course fee.

Amendment of Regulation:

The Nayago School of Yoga (NSY) and its affiliated PrCB and Universities reserves full right to revise, amend or change the regulations, schemes of examinations and / or syllabi or any other policy relevant to the need of the society or policy or industry etc., from time to time if found necessary with the recommendations of the concerned Board of Studies. Grammatically any mistakes shall be changed when it is observed or bring by any party. If necessary NSY shall amend any part of it during running of courses. Such amendments shall be communicated with IYA PrCB time to time.

RULES FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION FORMALPRACTICES/ IMPROPER CONDUCT IN EXAMINATIONS

Nature of Malpractices/Improper conduct along with Punishment

1.       

A.     If the candidate Possesses or keeps accessible in examination hall, any paper, note book, programmable calculators, Cell phones, pager, palm computers or any other form of material concerned with or related to the subject of the examination (theory or practical) in which he is appearing but has not made use of (material shall include any marks on the body of the candidate which can be used as an aid in the subject of the examination).

Punishment: Expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of the performance in that paper or subject only.

B.     If the candidate gives assistance or guidance or receives it from any other candidate orally or by any other body language methods or communicates through cell phones with any candidate or persons in or outside the exam hall in respect of any matter.

Punishment: Expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of the performance in that subject only of all candidates involved. In case of an outsider, he will be handed over to the police and a case is registered against him.

2.       

If the candidate has copied in the examination hall from any paper, book, programmable calculators, palm computers or any other form of material relevant to the subject of the examination (theory or practical) in which the candidate is appearing.

Punishment: Expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of the performance in that subject and all other subjects the candidate has already appeared including practical examinations and project work and shall not be permitted to appear for the remaining examinations of the subjects of that Course/ Semester/ Year. The Hall Ticket of the candidate is to be cancelled and sent to the University.

3.       

If the candidate Comes in a drunken condition to the examination hall.

Punishment: Expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of the performance in that subject and all other subjects the candidate has already appeared including practical examinations and project work and shall not be permitted for the remaining examinations of the subjects of that Course/ semester/year.

4.       

If the candidate Smuggles in the Answer book or additional sheet or takes out or arranges to send out the question paper during the examination or answer book or additional sheet, during or after the Examination.

Punishment: Expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of performance in that subject and all the other papers the candidate has already appeared including practical examinations and project.

5.       

If the candidate Leaves the exam hall taking away answer script or intentionally tears of the script or any part thereof inside or outside the examination hall.

Punishment: Expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of performance in that papers and all the other papers the candidate has already appeared including practical examinations and related work and shall not be permitted for the remaining examinations of the subjects of that Course/semester/year. The candidate is also debarred for two consecutive semesters from class work and all other affiliated PrCB/ University examinations. The continuation of the course by the candidate is subject to the academic regulations in connection with forfeiture of seat.

6.       

If the candidate Possess any lethal weapon or firearm in the examination hall.

Punishment: Expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of the performance in that paper and all other papers the candidate has already appeared including practical examinations and related work and shall not be permitted for the remaining examinations of the papers of that Course/semester/year. The candidate is also debarred and forfeits the seat.

7.       

If the candidate Impersonates any other candidate in connection with the examination.

 Punishment: The candidate who has impersonated shall be expelled from examination hall. The candidate is also debarred and forfeits the seat. The performance of the original candidate, who has been impersonated, shall be cancelled in all the papers of the examination (including practical and related work) already appeared and shall not be allowed to appear for examinations of the remaining papers of that Course/semester/year. The candidate is also debarred for class work and all examinations. The continuation of the course by the candidate is subject to the academic regulations in connection with forfeiture of seat. If the impostor is an outsider, he will be handed over to the police and a case is registered against him.

8.       

If the candidate refuses to obey the orders of the chief Superintendent /Assistant Superintendent / any officer on duty or misbehaves or creates disturbance of any kind in and around the examination hall or organizes a walk out or instigates others to walk out, or threatens the officer-in charge or any person on duty in or outside the examination hall of any injury to his person or to any of his relations whether by words, either spoken or written  or by signs or by visible  representation, assaults the officer-in-charge, or any person on duty in or outside the examination hall or any of his relations, or indulges in any other act of misconduct or mischief which result in damage to or destruction of property in the examination hall or any part of the College campus or engages in any other act which in the opinion of the officer on duty amounts to use of unfair means or misconduct or has the tendency to disrupt the orderly conduct of the examination.

Punishment: In case of students of the organisation, they shall be expelled from examination halls and cancellation of their performance in that subject and all other papers the candidate(s) has (have) already appeared and shall not be permitted to appear for the remaining examinations of the papers of that Course/semester/year. The candidates also are debarred and forfeit their seats. In case of outsiders, they will be handed over to the police and a police case is registered against them.

9.       

If student of NSY, who is not a candidate for the particular examination or any person not connected with the college indulges in any malpractice or improper conduct mentioned in clause 6 to 8.

Punishment: Student of the institution’s expulsion from the examination hall and cancellation of the performance in that paper and all other papers the candidate has already appeared including practical examinations and others work under CIE and shall not be permitted for the remaining examinations of the papers of that Course. The candidate is also debarred and forfeits the seat. Person(s) who do not belong to the Organisation will be handed over to police and, a police case will be registered against them.

10.    

If the candidate uses objectionable, abusive or offensive language in the answer paper or in letters to the examiners or writes to the examiner requesting him to award pass marks.

Punishment: Cancellation of the performance in that paper.

11.    

If the candidate copying detected on the basis of internal evidence, such as, during valuation or during special scrutiny.

Punishment: Cancellation of the performance in that subject and all other subjects the candidate has appeared including practical examinations and project work of that examinations.

12.    

if any malpractice done by the candidate is detected which is not covered in the above clauses 1 to 11 shall be reported to the University or IYA PrCB or NSY for further action to award suitable Punishment as per the Examination Committee.

If any of our associates support or helping the students for Malpractice based upon the severity of the issue action shall be taken against them. In case of any paper leak or such serious offence they shall be hand overed to police.
